We R FUN Games began on a 3rd generation dairy farm in Minnesota with siblings Keith Gohl and Ev Johnson. One night, Keith was trying to explain the amusing ups and downs of life on the farm to their city cousins. He had the brilliant idea to make it more FUN by turning their farm life into a board game!
Keith and Ev worked together to create Life on the Farm, a game that includes real life experiences from their small family farm, even the many unpredictable mishaps that make farm life FUN. It also isn’t a true family game night unless the little ones are involved, so the family developed Life on the Farm – Preschool Edition which includes the favorites of young minds everywhere: colors, animals, shapes, and puzzles!
In 2010, Ev Johnson accepted the title of “Fearless Leader” and set out to find more games the whole family can enjoy. Now, the small but versatile collection has grown to consist of board, card, tile, and dice games that provide entertainment for those with varying playstyles and interests.
Today, We R FUN provides all of these games to the public through both in-store and online options. Ev and her team live by the motto: “Share laughter, share FUN, share love”, and are on a continuous journey to create, invent, and discover FUN for everyone!

FARM AID
Below is a picture of Ev Johnson and Willie Nelson with the first printing of Life on the Farm!
Willie Nelson is one of the founders of FARM AID, a nonprofit organization that uses their resources to help farm families stay on their farms. FARM AID has raised tens of millions of dollars to provide assistance to farm families. They also use these funds to inform the public about the risks involved in our food supply being produced by a completely corporate agriculture system. We appreciate the work they do in allowing families like ours to thrive!
Heifer International
Did you know that small family farms used to feed not only America, but also most of the world? Today, the American food system looks a lot different because of the introduction of large corporate farms. However, in many developing countries owning a farm animal can literally mean the difference between life and death.
Over 800 million people go to bed hungry every night. That is why we value the work done by Heifer International. They are a nonprofit organization that combats hunger by starting and supporting family farms around the world! Helping local farmers (and business owners) provides new hope and security for not only farm families, but their whole community.
As the saying goes, “Take a man fishing and feed him a meal. Teach a man how to fish and feed him for a lifetime”. We believe this organization teaches people to fish and, in the process, gives the priceless gift of self-reliance.
